Podcast #129 – Transitioning Into Summertime

How fitting that we recorded today’s podcast during a classic summer popup thunderstorm, complete with a dramatic drop in the outdoor temperature. Another weather phenomenon that we might expect to see in June, but this year we’re getting it in early April. Amanda describes her work on Veg Hill pulling the bolting collards and rescuing that lone kohlrabi left over from the fall. Lee talks about taking down the magnificent cover crop of lupin and black oats on the orchard floor and bush hogging the trails where the weeds are returning with a vengeance. And we finish with a quick review of how the kitchen is transitioning with the change in the seasons.
