We were so happy the day we brought those four young hens home to live at Longleaf Breeze. And we should have been, given that we had been planning for and dreaming about chickens for more than two years. It was finally happening!
We’re focused on food at Longleaf Breeze, and we think that’s just right. On the other hand, the Farmer-in-Chief is all about hospitality, so that also means we want to maintain a pleasant, welcoming environment, especially around the lodge where we welcome guests.
We have exactly eight days of hands-on experience with the ladies now, and we’re already realizing how much knowledge we’re gaining in such a short time. After all, we had so much to learn!
