It may seem untimely to be whining about air conditioning just as the crispness of fall arrives, but I guess that’s part of my frustration about it.
If you’ve been keeping up with our Longleaf Breeze adventure, you know that my bride and I, even though we will be living in central Alabama where most winters are mild, have been unusually concerned about staying warm. We’re less worried now.
The deer fence still isn’t in. But we’re forging ahead as if it were and planting our fall garden.
All the rain we’ve had this year has made us tired of watching our best soil wash down the hill into the creek. Saturday we tried to do something about it.
We now have all our available firewood pallets filled. And with the cool September breeze blowing by, it feels just right.
We spent a whole weekend with no killer project we had to complete. It was wonderful.
When you put down grass seed, you hope and pray for gentle rain, but you almost never get it. We did. Did we deserve this?
