Not much creativity in the title of this week’s podcast, but it’s time for us to talk soup to nuts about what’s growing here at Longleaf Breeze.
We’re so pleased! Our asparagus ferns came leaping out of the ground and were ready to be fully covered with dirt within about three weeks.
It was certainly proper for us to focus when we started our farming adventure on annuals, things like okra, tomatoes, squash, beans, and peas. And let’s be honest: we’ll always be growing annuals.
This one was one of the more complicated videos to produce, because we had to work in stages and because we were figuring it out as we went along.
We love the roles and relationships we’ve formed with our church, community, and family. Lately, though, we’ve felt a little besieged by all the commitments we’ve made to spend time off the farm.
We finish our annual review today reflecting on the role of allness statements in our farming adventure and the ease with which we avoid them.
Our annual review continues today with the second of our three principles: it’s gotta be fun while we’re doing it.
I’m unusually proud of this one, because it does a better-than-usual job of letting you see some of the other Master Gardeners at work.
